The Artero Nature Collection One Blade Mat Breaker is designed to split matts in difficult, tight areas, such as in between the toes and other difficult to reach areas.
While this Mat Breaker is not plastic but nice wood is a major step forward! However, a small indentation or rough spot for my thumb would be a big help - becoming more ergonomic & easier to hold on to. I like that the sharp blade is in the inner corner so cutting human or canine skin is more difficult than the big metal mat splitters. The thin metal did no harm as it slid through the fur without problem, until mat met sharp blade and cut through the mat.. This is a handy little tool if you get many matts.
